Bullocksteads Sports Ground has thirteen grass pitches, providing an important rugby and football facility. Together with Newcastle Falcons (who play Premier League Rugby on the adjacent Kingston Park) and Northumberland Rugby Union the University is advancing plans for the establishment of a Rugby Development Centre.
